Everything that is updated on this site will be placed on this page with the date and a description of what was added or changed.  This should make it easier to find out what's new instead of searching through the entire site to find what's been added.  Be sure to check back frequently as I am currently adding many new things.  Let me know if you like what you see!

<>I have added several news stories to the Drive-ins In The News page.  A very interesting story from a PA drive-in.  Check it out.  Most WI drive-ins are now open in the state.  It's still a bit cool out so bring a blanket and get some early season viewing in before the crowds get big.  If you get a chance sign the guestbook!!

<>I have added new pictures to the New Stardust Drive-in Theater page.  It is the "new build," going up in Chetek, WI.  The pictures are for March 2008.  I have added some news stories to the Drive-ins In The News page.  I have also added a logo for the 75th anniversary of the first drive-in theater opening to the home page.  Special thanks go to the Hwy 21 Drive-in Theater website for the logo.

<>It was announced that the Keno Outdoor Theater is opening for the season on Friday April 18th, 2008.  The last drive-in to close for the season last year is the first drive-in to open for the season this year.  Remember this is the 75th anniversary of the first drive-in theater.  Celebrate this year by attending your nearest drive-in often!

<>I have finally fixed the Wisconsin drive-in theater listings page.  For quite some time, the page just wouldn't load properly and freeze up people's computers.  I never could figure out what the problem was.  So I have fixed it by creating a whole new page devoted to all the drive-ins that once operated or still do in Wisconsin.  On this page there are links to 4 regions of Wisconsin that list all of these drive-ins depending on their location.  The links there will take you to pages letting you know exactly what kind of information and photos are still needed for the book project from all of WI's drive-in theaters. 

Also, there is a new page to check out where I will be listing Wisconsin Drive-in Events.  The events listed on this page will give everyone a heads up about any special events or promotions happening at any of Wisconsin's operating drive-ins.  For example, dusk to dawn shows, special appearances by Doctor Cryptosis, car club meets etc.  So check back to this page often as I will try to keep it as current as possible.

<>This is my first update of the year!  Remember that this is the 75th anniversary year of the first drive-in theater to open in Camden, NJ back on June 6, 1933.   Celebrate all summer long by attending your local drive-in theater.  Bring the whole family!  Speaking of the first drive-in theater in the country, have I got a piece of drive-in theater history for you to enjoy!  Recently I obtained what is known as a "cover."  It is basically just an envelope that was mailed to someplace else.  Ahhh, but this isn't just any envelope.  Want to know more, go the Drive-in Theater Historical Artifacts page for more details. 

I have added a new banner that can be used for my link on other websites.  It is located on my drive-in theater links page.  Just click, "Save picture as..."  I have been adding vintage drive-in newspaper ads to the USA page.  Check them out.  Also, new updated photos of the construction of the new drive-in up in Chetek, WI.  The Stardust Drive-in is still scheduled to have the grand opening in May, 2008.

<>There is a new link on the News Media Interviews page where I was interviewed by Marty Weil of, "Ephemera - Exploring the world of old paper."  Check it out!  I have also been adding many new drive-in theater ads from across the country.  I will just keep adding to it until I am done with the ads that I have currently.  Then I will let everyone know that it is complete.  (At least to that point.)  All the drive-in theater newspaper ads have been combined on to one page.  From there you can link to all the different drive-in ads, (grand opening, 1930's, Wisconsin, USA ads etc.).

<>I have added some news stories to the Drive-ins In The News page.  I also added 2 new photos of the construction of the new drive-in going up in Chetek, WI.  They are of the new concession stand and can be found on the Wisconsin's Newest Drive-in - 2008 page.  Just click on November 2007!  I have finally begun to post the Drive-in newspaper ads from across the USA page.  It will take some time to finish it but I have begun to post some of the ads.  Check them out and let me know what you think!

<>I have updated some new photos from Paul Javener that show the progress of his new drive-in theater being built up in Chetek, WI.   Click on the November pics.  I have moved the Field of Scenes Drive-in Theatre page that used to be on the home page under WI newest drive-in to the WI Drive-in Photo Gallery.  The new drive-in being built in Chetek, WI has now taken over the same page for WI newest drive-in.

<>The Keno Drive-in Theatre is now closed for the season.  It was the last drive-in left open for the season but now they are all closed.  I hope everyone had a fun, safe,  and memory filled drive-in summer!  The drive-ins will again start opening in the spring.  See you then!

<>The Keno Drive-in Theater is showing "Saw IV" and "30 Days of Night." Their final weekend of the season is October 26th thru the 28th.  They are the last drive-in open for the season.  Better get your fix now!  It's a LOOOONG off season.

<>Check out the Breaking News page for some very important WI drive-in related news!!  Also, some of WI's drive-ins are now closed for the season.  But some are still open so get out there while you still can.  Remember that the off season can be a LONG one.  Lord knows, I go thru my drive-in withdrawal every year about this time.  8-(

<>I thought it was time for a redesign of my website.  I am no professional web designer but I think it's not too bad.  What do you think?  I am adding some new features like the original Grand Opening ads and Drive-in ads from the 1930's just to name a few.  Check out the WI Drive-in newspaper ads page.  I have added 22 new vintage drive-in ads.  Also, I have added the Hwy 29 Drive-in located in Wausau to the WI newspaper page.  There are 4 vintage ads for that drive-in.  I hope you enjoy the changes!

<>I have breaking news to announce!  Wisconsin is getting a new drive-in theater to be located near Chetek, WI.  It is scheduled to be completed by spring of 2008.  Check out the home page for more information.  This is great news!!!

<>Check out the Old Original Newspaper Ads from Wisconsin page!!  I finally got the entire page updated with a total of 72 new ads right from the newspapers of that day!  This includes ads for 8 Wisconsin drive-ins that I previously had no newspaper ads for.  Also, the Bluemound Drive-in ads are the oldest drive-in ads that I have for Wisconsin dating back to 1940.  Check them out and let me know what you think.
